Strength calculator

Weight lifted. Reps completed. An estimate of your maximum.

YOUR COMPLETED SET

Enter a completed set, choose your units, then press Calculate strength. Change any value and calculate again to update the result.

ESTIMATED ONE-REP MAX

— kg

Enter your weight and reps, then press Calculate strength.

How the calculation works

For 2–10 reps, this uses the Epley equation: estimated 1RM = weight × (1 + reps ÷ 30). For a single rep, the result is the weight entered.

Enter the full load lifted, including the bar. For dumbbells, use one dumbbell’s load consistently. The estimate assumes a hard set completed with consistent technique; leaving several reps in reserve can reduce its usefulness. Follow your prescribed programme when choosing training loads.
